Planning Engagement Officer

Part time (18.5 – 30hrs) – Flexible / Family-friendly hours, Cardiff

£25,000 – £30,000 (pro rata), subject to experience.

This is a key role in our dynamic staff team based in Cardiff.

The Planning Engagement Officer will raise awareness of Planning Aid Wales and the value of effective community engagement within the planning profession.  You will gather and share best practice in engagement via our website, Planning4Communities newsletter and by delivering an annual programme of networking events.

Working closely with our Community Engagement Officer, you will identify and deliver innovative opportunities to help planners collaborate more effectively with communities. You will also provide planning expertise and support to Planning Aid Wales’ activities and services, our staff team and network of volunteers.

You will be passionate about the potential of planning to create more sustainable places and communities. You will be joining a dynamic third sector organisation working to make planning accessible and relevant to local communities.  You will share our passion for creativity and innovation.  You will enjoy working with people to generate enthusiasm for positive change.

Community Engagement Officer

Part time (18.5 hrs) – Flexible / Family-friendly hours, Cardiff

The Community Engagement Officer will help community and town councils and community groups to engage with planning by providing a range of networking and support services.

You will build PAW’s knowledge of organisations that represent communities in planning matters and use this expertise to develop and deliver new engagement projects and services. You will work closely with our Planning Engagement Officer who is helping planners to engage more effectively with local communities.

You will be passionate about community development and engagement. You will be joining a dynamic third sector organisation working to make planning accessible and relevant to local communities. You will share our passion for creativity and innovation. You will enjoy working with people to generate enthusiasm for positive change.

Development Officer

The Development Officer will be responsible for raising awareness of Planning Aid Wales amongst stakeholders, potential partners and beneficiaries.

You will identify and deliver innovative opportunities to enhance, celebrate and promote our activities and services. Working with our Planning Engagement Officer, you will be responsible developing and growing our volunteer network.

You will be joining an energetic third sector organisation working to make planning accessible and relevant to local communities. You will share our passion for creativity and innovation. You will enjoy working with people to generate enthusiasm for positive change.
