Volunteering Role

We currently have two main volunteering roles with the organisation. For more information on each role, refer to the document above.

1. Planning volunteers are those with a degree which is accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute. Planning volunteers with at least six months’ planning experience can provide advice to members of the public on our behalf, usually in response to a Helpline call.

2. Community volunteers help to develop new links between the planning system and community development work to help people engage with planning. Community volunteers must have either a relevant qualification or demonstrable experience in community development / engagement.
